BECE Science: Stop Revising the Whole Book
6 min read
The science book is thick. Reading it from the first chapter in March is how students stay tired and miss the same practical question in June.
Sort the subject by what you miss
Diversity of matter, cycles, systems, energy, and the human body come up in different shapes. A student who can recite a definition and cannot answer a "what happens if" question has not finished the topic. Practical-style items are part of the paper. Treat them as questions, not as a separate subject you will "do later".
How to use a week
- Check science, or look at the last class test, and write three topics you missed.
- Practise one of them until the review shows you choosing the right idea for the right reason.
- Only then open the next topic. The book stays a reference, not the plan.
This is the same loop as the rest of JHS, on a subject that punishes vague revision. See JHS and review.
