JHS 1 to SHS 2: Why the Next Results Start This Term
Most of the search traffic in October 2026 is about results that are already fixed. The seats we can still help fill are the ones in class now: JHS 1, JHS 2, JHS 3 heading to BECE 2027, SHS 1, SHS 2, and SHS 3 heading to WASSCE 2027. WAEC has not published those school timetables as a promise we can quote. The syllabuses have.
Take the free diagnostic this term, not in March
What "early" actually means
- JHS 1 and SHS 1: one diagnostic a term in English and Mathematics. You are looking for a hole, not a rank in the class.
- JHS 2 and SHS 2: the same check, plus the science or elective that your school already knows is thin. This is the year a topic can be retaught.
- Final year: you are choosing what not to revise. At Risk subjects get the evenings. On Track subjects get maintenance, not another Saturday.
Olearna covers JHS 1 to 3, SHS 1 to 3, and a resit on the same diagnostic. The label is On Track, Improving, or At Risk. A parent sees it. A teacher can set the next practice from it.
Why this ranks as a strategy, not a slogan
Families search "BECE results" for a week and "how to pass" for a year. A page that only shouts about yesterday's release goes quiet in November. A student who starts in JHS 2 is still here when the timetable drops. That is the long game: the result-season articles answer today's question, and this one keeps the next cohort from becoming next October's resit article.
