SHS 2: The Year to Fix Electives Before WASSCE Pressure
In SHS 2 the exam is not this year, so the pressure drops and the syllabus does not. Electives get harder. Students who coast here arrive in SHS 3 with two years to "revise" and one year of time.
Pick the elective that worries you
Not the one you enjoy. The one you hope will not be called. Check it. If the label is At Risk or the review is full of the same kind of miss, that elective gets the evenings this term. A core subject that is also behind can share the week, but do not run five subjects at once and call it balance.
What "fixed" means
You can do a fresh question on that topic and explain the answer without looking. A neat note is not the same thing. Review is how you tell the difference: your choice, the right answer, and whether you would choose it again.
The exam year is described on the WASSCE page. The school years are on SHS.
