Which SHS Elective to Repair First

8 October 20266 min read

SHS students have more subjects than evenings. The elective they revise is often the one they like, because it feels like progress. The elective that changes the certificate is the one they are registered to sit and do not yet hold.

A simple order

  1. List the electives on your registration, not the ones you dropped.
  2. Mark the one you would least like to write tomorrow.
  3. Check it. If you already know the weak topic, go straight to questions on that topic.
  4. Review the misses for two weeks before you give the evenings back to a subject that is On Track.

Core English or Core Mathematics can jump this queue if they are the ones at risk. An elective you love can wait a fortnight. It will still be there.

Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Elective Mathematics, and the business electives are different papers. Repair the one you sit. The map of the years is on SHS, and the exam on WASSCE.
